Balakulandjan with Bolokada Conde

Bolokada Conde is a Master Djembefola from Morowaya, Guinea, in the Hamanah region of Guinea.

He played in the Percussion du Guinea for many years and has traveled the world many times teaching and performing. Since 2004 he has resided in the United States and maintained a very active schedule of teaching and performing across the country. He has used his status to raise money to help his home village improve its situation greatly, constructing a bridge across the river next to the village, drilling several new wells and, most recently, building and staffing a medical clinic. He is a precise and joyful teacher, and his sweet spirit has captivated all of his students.
